We are looking for a Female Caregiver to care for a Female Client in Port Jefferson, NY. The Client has Alzheimer's and needs prompting/directing. A Caregiver with a car & driver's license is requested since the Client needs transportation to appointments and errands.

The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. They should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help the Client.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prompt/direct with ADLs
• Standby assistance while walking
• Assist client with personal care and hygiene as needed
• Plan and prepare meals
• Transportation to appointments, errands or shopping
• Perform light housekeeping duties that client can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents and changes in client's condition

Job Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience (personal or professional)
• Experience with Alzheimer's/dementia clients
• Car & driver's license
• Valid US work authorization
• Be 21 years of age

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
